For the Week of October 20-26, 2008:
Men: Cody Bordewyk; Black Hills State; Senior; Livermore, CO
Bordewyk was the individual champion at the Graphic Edge Invitational in Vermillion, SD. He covered the 8K course in 25:29.12 in leading the Yellow Jackets to a second place finish in the 15 team field.
Women: Katie Conlon; Jamestown College; Freshman; Jamestown, ND
Conlon placed sixth and her team finished eighth out of 14 teams at the Graphic Edge Invitational in Vermillion, SD. She completed the 5K run in 18:42.60.
For the Week of October 13-19, 2008:
Men: Birch Haraden; Black Hills State; Junior; Billings, MT
Haraden captured the individual race title as the Yellow Jackets defeated South Dakota Mines in a dual in Rapid City, SD. He ran the 8070 meter course in 28:05, 14 seconds faster than the second place finisher.
Women: Shelli Scheffler; Black Hills State; Senior; Lovell, WY
Scheffler won the individual competition in leading the Yellow Jackets to the victory over South Dakota Mines in a dual in Rapid City. She finished the 5060 meter race in 20:36 for the first win of her college cross country career.
For the Week of October 06-12, 2008:
Men: Tyler Van Peursem; Dakota State; Junior; Sioux Falls, SD
Peursem finished second overall at the Briar Cliff, IA Invitational to help the Trojans to a fourth place finish. He covered the 8K race in 26:22, which was a one minute, 20 second improvement from his time at the race last season.
Women: Wendey O’Lexey; Black Hills State; Junior; Rock Springs, WY
In snowy, wet and cold conditions, O’Lexey was the individual champion in leading the Yellow Jackets to the team title at the MSU-Billings Invitational. She covered the wet and muddy 5K course in 19:19.
For the Week of September 29-October 05, 2008:
Men: Salvador Bautista; Dickinson State; Senior; Los Angeles, CA
Bautista place second at the Jimmie Invitation in Jamestown in helping the Blue Hawks to the team title. He completed the 8K course in 26:23.
Women: Alyssa Bossler; Jamestown College; Junior; Helena, MT
Bossler finished third at the Jimmie Invitational in Jamestown and helped her team to the first place finish. She finished the 5K run in 19:31, her personal best time on her home course.
For the Week of September 22-28, 2009:
Men: Anthony Drealan; Dakota State; Junior; Fulda, MN
Drealan finished fifth out of 111 runners at the Herb Blakely/Dakota State Invitational in Madison, SD. He finished the 8K course in 26:20.22.
Women: Kendra Crisman; South Dakota Mines; Sophomore; Rapid City, SD
Crisman placed 11th out of 113 competitors at the Herb Blakely/Dakota State Invitational in Madison, SD. She completed the 5K race in 19:41.
For the Week of September 15-21, 2008:
Men: Brandon Valasquez; Minot State; Freshman; Chula Vista, CA
Valasquez placed fifth out of 55 runners in his first race of the season at the University of North Dakota/Ron Pynn Invitational. He finished the 8K run in 26:42.
Women: Katie Conlon; Jamestown College; Freshman; Jamestown, ND
Conlon finished third out of 73 competitors in leading the Jimmies to a second place finish at the University of North Dakota/Ron Pynn Invitational. She covered the 5K course in 19:10.
For the Week of September 08-14, 2008:
Men: Cody Bordewyk; Black Hills State; Senior; Livermore, CO
Bordewyk won the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Spearfish, SD in leading his team to the team title. He covered the 6K course in 20:19, which was just three seconds shy of the course record.
Women: Wendy O’Lexey; Black Hills State; Junior; Rock Springs, WY
O’Lexey captured the individual title at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Spearfish, SD in leading her team to the championship. She ran the 4K course in 16:05. |
