For the week of February 11-17, 2001
Women:   Heidi Honermann, Dakota State, 5-7, Senior, Guard, Hometown: Adrian, MN
Honerman helped lead the Trojans to a 94-82 win over Huron University, which gave Dakota State the DAC title and a berth into the NAIA Division II National Tournament.  Against the Screaming Eagles, she scored 27 points, handed out five assists, grabbed three rebounds and added five steals.  In the conference title clinching triumph, Honermann hit 9 of 16 field goal attempts, including 5 of 9 three-pointers, and was 4 of 5 from the free throw stripe.
 
For the week of February 4-10, 2001
Women:    Ruth Buffalo, Huron University, 6-1, Sophomore, Center, Hometown: Watford City, ND
Buffalo had 46 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and a steal in two Screaming Eagle wins.  In a 75-70 victory over Black Hills State, she had 24 points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal.  She followed that up with 22 points, seven rebounds and two assists in an 83-74 triumph over South Dakota Tech.  For the week, Buffalo hit 18 of 24 field goal attempts and was 10 of 13 from the free throw line.
 
For the week of January 28-February 3, 2001
Women:    Keri Bakker, Jamestown College, 5-9, Senior, Forward, Hometown: Rockford, MN
Bakker recorded back-to-back double-doubles and became the Jimmies all-time leading scorer.  She opened the week with 29 points, ten rebounds and one steal in a 72-64 win over Minot State.  In a 55-53 setback to Dickinson State, she had ten points, eleven rebounds, two assists and three steals.  Bakker now has 1733 career points, eclipsing the old record of 1713 that stood for twenty years.  For the week, Bakker was 15 of 36 from the field and 4 of 6 from the free throw line.
 
For the week of January 21-27, 2001
Women:    Marissa Richards, South Dakota Tech, 6-0, Senior, Center, Hometown: Butte, MT
Richards led the Hardrockers to a pair of wins by scoring 37 points and adding 15 rebounds, 12 assists, two blocked shots and one steal.  In a 101-93 triumph over Valley City State, she set a school record by hitting 12 of 12 free throws enroute to a 24 point, six rebound, seven assist, one blocked shot, one steal performance.  She then had 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists and a blocked shot in a 75-59 win over Mayville State.  In the two contests, Richards was 10 of 21 from the field and 17 of 18 from the free throw line.
 
For the week of January 14-20, 2001
Women:    Kayla Blom, Minot State, 5-9, Junior, Guard, Hometown: Lignite, ND
Blom scored 68 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and added 16 assists, four steals and one blocked shot in helping the Beavers win three straight.  In a 92-50 non-conference win over Presentation College, she had 20 points, three rebounds and five assists.   In the Beavers' 74-69 triumph over South Dakota Tech, Blom had 25 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals.  She finished the week with a 23 point, seven rebound, six assist, one blocked shot, one steal performance in a 76-64 victory over Black Hills State.  For the week, Blom was 24 of 41 from the field, including 7 of 14 three-pointers, and hit 13 of 15 free throw attempts.
 
For the week of January 7-13, 2001
Women:   Melissa Braegger, Black Hills State, 5-11, Senior, Forward, Hometown: Willard, UT
Braegger recorded 44 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and eight steals in a pair of Yellowjacket victories.  In a 71-68 win over sixteenth ranked Dakota State, she had 26 points, seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks and five steals.  She followed that up with 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 69-53 victory over Huron University.  For the week, Braegger was 15 of 30 from the field and 11 of 15 from the free throw line.
 
For the week of December 31, 2000-January 6, 2001
Women:   Molly Anderson, Valley City State, 5-5, Junior, Guard, Hometown: Watford City, ND
Anderson scored 53 points to go along with 13 rebounds, 13 assists and two steals in two Viking losses.  She had 28 points, six rebounds, five assists and a steal in a 75-68 loss to Dakota State.  She followed that up with 25 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and one steal in a 78-76 setback to Huron University.  For the week, Anderson was 17 of 39 from the field, including 10 of 23 three-pointers and connected on 9 of 11 free throw attempts.
 
For the week of December 10-16, 2000:
Women:   Missy Charboneau, Mayville State, 5-10, Senior, Forward, Hometown: Coon Rapids, MN
Charboneau scored 41 points to go along with 11 rebounds, ten assists and six steals as the Comets picked up a pair of conference wins.  In an 88-60 win over South Dakota Tech, she had 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.  She hit the game winning shot with three seconds remaining in an 81-80 win over Black Hills State.   She finished that game with 17 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals.  In the two games, Charboneau was 14 of 26 from the field and 13 of 18 from the free throw line.
 
For the week of December 3-9, 2000:
Women:   Kassy Anderson, Mayville State, 6-1, Junior, Center, Hometown: Sisseton, SD
Anderson scored 47 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in a pair of Comet victories.  In a 90-72 DAC win over Valley City State, she had 34 points, 11 rebounds and one blocked shot.  Anderson then put together a 13 point, eight rebound, one assist, one steal performance in a 66-63 non-conference triumph over Northwestern, MN.  For the week, Anderson was 14 of 24 from the field, including 7 of 12 on 3-point attempts, and converted 12 of 12 free throws.
 
For the week of November 26-December 2, 2000:
Women:    Marissa Richards, South Dakota Tech, 6-0, Senior, Center, Hometown: Butte, MT
Richards scored 38 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as the preseason fourteenth ranked Hardrockers opened conference play with a 1-1 week.  She recorded 17 points and eight rebounds in a 98-67 win over preseason number seven Jamestown College.  Richards followed that up with a 21 point, nine rebound effort in an 81-79 setback against the preseason number seventeen University of Mary.  For the week, she hit 11 of 20 field goal attempts and was a perfect 16 of 16 from the free throw line.
